THE TRUTH ABOUT GRANT FUNDING

There are a host of agencies both National & Local providing grant funding for a wide variety of uses.  The biggest mistake to make is to automatically assume that funding would not be unavailable, or that a project would not qualify.

First of all it is important to understand who is eligible to apply for grant funding.

Now we know that just about everyone is eligible to apply for grant funding, we need to understand how it works.  Most Grant Funding Providers will match fund a project to a set percentage level depending upon the type of applicant and project, however, most will allow other Grant Funding Providers to also match fund a project.  By working within the rules many projects can actually be funded to 100% by applying for grant funding from multiple Grant Funding Providers.

Grant Funding will only have to repaid should you not meet the expenditure and or stipulations in any grant offer, i.e. genuine projects attract free funding to enable them to succeed.

In the current financial climate obtaining high street funding from the banks is all but impossible, yet the Grant System can once again prove the solution by taking advantage of the Small Firms Loan Guarantee Scheme which in effect means that the government secure a bank loan by acting as guarantor.
